The Black Stars midfielder was involved in an accident Sunday morning as he was driving to the Airport to fly to his country ahead of the 2019 Afcon qualifier double header against Sierra Leone Stars.
The incident occurred this morning on a stretch of the AP-68 motorway when the player was heading to the Loiu airport to travel to his naive country.
The Black Stars, host the Leone Stars at the Baba Yara Stadium on Thursday October 11 before flying to Freetown for the return leg on 15th October, 2018.
Although reports in Spain suggest that he didn’t sustain any serious injuries and is in ”perfect condition”, he has resumed his way to the airport to continue his trip to Ghana.
“Deportivo Alavés player Wakaso Mubarak has had a slight car accident this morning but he is in a perfect condition,” a club statement said.
“The incident occurred this morning on a stretch of the AP-68 motorway when the player was heading to the Loiu airport to travel to Ghana and join the national team.”
“Wakaso has resumed his way to the airport normally minutes later,” the statement added.
The hardworking midfielder played 74 minutes for Deportivo Alaves on Saturday when they recorded a 1-0 win over Laliga giants Real Madrid courtesy substitute Many Garcia’s goal.
