Former Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has heaped praise on defender Marvin Senaya, highlighting the right-back’s quality and determination following his impressive performance against Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium in a pre-World Cup friendly.
Reflecting on Senaya’s display, Konadu called on Ghanaians to continue supporting and motivating players who show promise at the international level.
“We have to motivate them. We know who Senaya is, he can really play. We have a right-back, he is a fighter,” Konadu said during a panel disccusion on Max Tv
Senaya, who was born in Togo and was eligible to represent the Hawks of Togo before committing his international future to Ghana, emerged as one of the Black Stars’ standout performers during the encounter.
The AJ Auxerre defender showcased his attacking and defensive qualities throughout the game, earning plaudits from fans and football observers alike. His energetic display was nearly rewarded with a goal in the first half when he unleashed a powerful strike from distance, but Wales goalkeeper Karl Darlow produced a fine save to deny him.
