AshantiGold interim coach Thomas Duah says he idolizes former Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah.
The Ashgold man, who guided the club to an MTN FA Cup final last season has identified the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko man as one of the gaffers he looks up to.
The former Prestea Mine Stars defender has been into coaching since 1992 and has had the opportunity to handle the Ghana national team in his long serving coaching.
His work ethics and coach skills has caught the eye of Duah, who has revealed he idolizes the ex-Black Stars left-back.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Ashh FM in an interview, Thomas Duah said: “I look up to former Black Stars coach Akwasi Appiah as a coach.”
Just like his mentor, Duah has been with Ashgold for several years, serving as an assistant coach to both Milovan Cirkovic and Romain Folz in the 2020/21 season before being pushed into the team as interim head coach following the departure of the latter.
