Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz have expressed interest in signing Ghanaian defender Gideon Mensah on a permanent deal after his loan spell, SportsworldGhana.com can exclusively report.
Mensah, joined the Blackies on a short-term loan during the January transfer from Red Bull Salzburg and has established himself as a fan favourite following his impressive display, and the club want want to lock the U-23 left-back down permanently before the season ends.
Officials from the club, SportsworldGhana.com, understands met Mensah’s parent team Red Bull Salzburg after the two sides league game last week over the youngster’s lasting stay but could not arrive at any concrete decision as Red Bull Salzburg are hesitant to let their top young latent exit the club.
The 21-year old defender has played full 90 minutes in his six league appearances since his arrival at the Merkur Arena in January.
