English national league side Barnet are in talks to hand Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Wesley Nkong Fonguck a new deal.
Fonguck, 23, joined Barnet as a free agent in the 2019 and has proven to be a key aspect of the side in the English fifth tier.
His contract is expected to expire on June 30, 2019 and his club are locked in talks with his representatives to extend it though he might seek another avenue following the club’s relegation.
He was one of the best players in the Barnet team scoring twice in eleven league games as they failed to survive relegation.
Fonguck was born to a Ghanaian father and an English mother and has already played twice for the English C national team though he can still switch allegiance to the West African country.
