The Schalke 04 man on loan at the Green and Black Eagles scored the opening goal of the match to make it 1-0 to the home team on the 15th minute mark.
Georgi Minchev equalized for the visitors two minutes later and they turned things around with Dimitar Iliev’s penalty inside 32 minutes and ended the half with their noses in front.
Ludogorets were shown two red cards to Elvis Manu and Cauly Oliveira Souza respectively as the home team ended the game with nine men.
The game ended 2-1 to the away team who came from behind to pick a famous win over the champions.
Tekpetey lasted 64 minutes on the field but his strike was not good enough to prevent his team from losing.
The 26-year-old Ghanaian Center-forward has found the back of the net in Bulgarian Professional League two times and has provided six assists in the his first season at the club.
