The former Asante Kotoko midfielder underwent successful surgery last month as Esperance announced their Ghanaian asset will be sidelined for up to six weeks but Kwame Bonsu is expected to be fully fit for the Esperance – Sfaxien match of the season on August 12th.
Esperance lead the table with 44 points after 16 games – 10 more points over second placed Sfaxien.
Bonsu continues his recovery exercise as he is expected to be available for selection for Moine Chaabani’s side latest by August 12th when Esperance welcome Sfaxien on Week 19 in one of the biggest matches of the season.
The 29-time Champions of Tunisia are on course to land league trophy number 30 and the early return of Bonsu in the most crucial part of the season excites Moine Chaabani but before that the Tunisian giants are likely to be without their midfield anchor when the Tunisia league resumes on August 2.
