Home-based Black Stars players have departed Ghana for Pre-Afcon training camp in Doha, Qatar today, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The five players together with officials of the team left the Kotoka International Airport this evening for Doha in Qatar where the team will stay till they travel to Cameroon next month.
The players include, Real Tamale United FC captain David Abagna Sandan who’s the current Ghana Premier League top scorer with eight goals in nine matches.
Accra Great Olympics talisman, Maxwell Abbey Quaye who’s the second top scorer in the Ghana Premier League with seven goals together with city rivals Accra Hearts of Oak SC goalkeeper Richard Attah were spotted in at the airport.
Dreams FC youngster, Issahaku Abdul Fatawu with five goals in the ongoing Ghana top-flight as well as Philimon Baffour were all available to travel with the team officials.
Ghana will play the likes of Algeria in an international friendly game before departing to Cameroon to play their group C opener on January 10 against Morocco.
