The Chief Executive Officer of the Asante Kotoko football club, George Amoako, has charged the supporters of the club to come and fill the Baba Yara stadium on Saturday and support the team to qualify ahead of their Kenyan counterparts Kariobangi Sharks in the Caf Confederation cup return leg.
Mr. Amoako said this after the porcupine warriors held the Kenyan side to a goalless draw far away in Kenya.
The Kumasi based team played their first African confederation cup competition match against the Kariobangi sharks of Kenya after they had a walk over in the first round when their Cameroonian opponents failed to present a team for the tournament.
The Sharks looked very dangerous after they thrashed their Djibouti opponents 9-1 aggregate to qualify to the second round to meet Kotoko.
Before the Ghanaian giants traveled to play their opponent in Kenya, they had criticism from the section of the media and other football analysts predicting doom for them.
Eventually, Asante Kotoko were able to hold Kariobangi Sharks in a goalless draw far away in Kenya and the return encounter will be played on 22nd December, 2018 at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
And George Amoake ahead of the reverse leg is urging the fans to troop into the stadium and usher their support to the playing body to cruise to qualification.
