Champions League side from Moldova FC Sheriff Tiraspol have announced the signing of Ghanaian striker, Basit Abdul Khalid, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The 25-year-old striker joined the Yellow and Blacks following his departure from Tunisian giant Espérance Sportive de Tunis.
He terminated his contract with the club this summer after a full season with the Red and Yellows.

The new player of FC “Sheriff” is the central forward from Ghana – Basit Abdul Khalid. After a medical examination, the player and the club’s management put their signatures on the employment contract.
Basit Abdul Khalid was born on August 10, 1996 in Accra, the capital of Ghana. His career began there. The first football club is Dreams. In 2016 he moved to the most famous professional football club in Kosovo – FC Pristina, for which he played 50 games. In 2019, he signed an agreement with Albanian FC Teuta (the recent rival of our club in the Champions League qualification). Khalid’s last club was Esperance, a Tunisian football club from the city of Tunis.
The Ghanaian striker also has experience in the CAF Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
