Broadcast right holders of the Ghana premier StarTimes have made a $5400 second trance payment to the all the 16 participating teams, SportworldGhana.com can confirm.
The payment bring together $10400, after the clubs were initially paid $5000 as part of the contract agreement.
StarTimes have been contracted to make $16000 to the 16 clubs after the initial amount was upped by $300. The payment for the next trance of the remaining amount is yet to be decided.
Speaking to sportsworldGhana.com, Chief Executive Officer of Ashanti Gold SC said ” Yes StarTimes have paid all the 16 clubs $5400 each as second trance money”
He added ” I think the money has come at the right time and would help some of the club because we can at least you it to play two away matches”.
However, our outfit has learnt that the rest of the amount could run into the 2017/18 league season.
