Crystal Palace star Jeffrey Schlupp picked up an injury in Ghana’s World Cup qualifying game against Ethiopia in Cape Coast on Friday.
Schlupp had to be substituted in the first half of Ghana’s World Cup qualifier after suffering a thigh injury in the first half.
Schlupp started the match on the left side of attack, a position he normally plays when on duty for Ghana.
He lasted 27 minutes of the match and signaled to be substituted after he felt pains in his left thigh.
The 28-year-old was then replaced by Germany-based Daniel Kofi Kyereh who was making his Black Stars debut having earned a late call-up for the first time by CK Akonnor.
Ghana went ahead to beat Ethiopia 1-0 with a Mubarak Wakaso strike.
Schlupp is out of South Africa game in Johannesburg due to UK covid restrictions so must now focus on returning to action soon.
