Former Black Stars Coach James Kwesi Appiah says the teams problems can only be solved if there is a consistency and proper backups for players in the team.
The Stars put up a shambolic performance at the just ended 2017 Africa Cup of nations where they placed fourth.
Coach Avram Grant has come under flak for sticking to a one sided squad since his appointment in 2014.
But James Kwesi Appiah insists there is no way the nation should over depend on individual players for glory.
“The best way is to have a consistent team and you always build upon it by introducing young ones into it slowly”.
“But we see is we see is you see some kind of players in now and all of a sudden you see many of them going out and we don’t build players behind them so always we are lacking” he told Sportsworldghana.com in an interview.
“We always over depend on some individual players and this not a club because if it comes to the national team,we should have at least three teams where all Ghanaians should have confidence that if this player is not there, this one can play in his absence”he added.
