Ghanaian forward Edwin Gyasi came off the bench to help Bulgarian giants CSKA Sofia whip Austrian side Admira 3-1 to progress to the next stage of the Europa League.
The Ghana international was introduced into the game in 74th minute to replace Marides who bagged two goals on the night.
The former Aalesund FK’s sprinter quickly made his introduction felt when he played a key role in his sides third goal, five minutes after coming on.
CSKA Sofia, who had secured a 3-0 first leg win, had an electrifying start to the game after forward Maurides shot them in fron in the 14 minute.
He got his second goal for Sofia in the 53rd mark with a fine finish before Admira pulled one back through Cinan Barkis.
Sofia made it 3-1 after Jorginho scored with ten minutes to finish the game.
Gyasi provided two brilliant assists in last week’s 3-0 win and now they progress 6-1 on aggregate.
