South African side Maritzburg United are close to signing former Black Stars midfield anchor Sulley Ali Muntari, SPORTSworldGhana.com understands.
According to our sources in South Africa, Muntari is expected to land in South Africa to begin talks with the DSTV Premiership side.
Muntari, who was on the radars of Kaizer Chiefs is expected to leave the shores of the country to arrive at King Shaka International Airport in Durban today with the view to concluding negotiations with Team of Choice officials.
Muntari and Maritzburg United have reached an agreement in principle,” a close source revealed.
The Ghana International would be unveiled by the South African club should he agree a deal and completes his medicals by the close of the week.
Muntari was also linked with Cape Town City and Kaizer Chiefs, with the player unable to join his preferred choice Amakhosi due to the club’s FIFA transfer ban.
