Black Stars striker, Jordan Ayew missed a spot kick against Division Two League side Soccer Intellectuals on Wednesday at the Cape Coast stadium.
The 29-year-old Ghanaian forward failed to convert a spot kick in the game Ghana whitewashed the lower-tier side 8-0 to intensify their preparation for Saturday’s Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Warriors of Zimbabwe.
Ayew has been a talk of town recently due to his long goal drought and could not pick some confidence from the friendly as he missed a spot kick today in the stars game.
Youngster Kamaldeen Sulemana scored twice as Joel Fameyeh and Kudus Mohammed added to it to make it 4-0 at the end of the first period of the match.
Teen sensation Issahaku Abdul Fatawu came from the bench to score a brace and Benjamin Tetteh as well as Yaw Yeboah found the back of the net to make it 8-0 at the end of the game.
Ghana will continue with it preparation for the Saturday’s game against Zimbabwe as they hope to revive their world cup campaign.
