French Ligue 2 side Sochaux have offered €200,000 to sign Ghanaian forward Jonah Osabutey on loan from Werder Bremen, Graphic Online reports.
The 21-year-old talented forward is set for another loan spell after impressing at Belgian Jupiler League side Royal Mouscron last season.
The young prospect is seen as the future of the “River Islanders” and they want to give him out again as he continues his development at a good level.
He netted five goals in 22 appearances, helping him to win the club’s Player of the Year award.
Sochaux are currently looking for a striker following a long-term injury to Yann Litala and their manager, Omar Daf, is keen on signing Osabutey to fill the void.
Osabutey moved to Europe in 2017 from Tema Youth and the signed for the German Bundesliga side but has no place at the Weserstadion.
In the 2018/2019 season, he scored 12 goals in 27 league matches for the Werder Bremen II side in the Regionalliga.
