Chris Hughton, the head coach of the Ghanaian national football team, continued his player scouting efforts in the Ghana Premier League over the weekend.
Hughton was present at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday to watch the match between Great Olympics and Berekum Chelsea.
Having overseen his first game as the Black Stars’ head coach in the March international break, Hughton led Ghana to victory in their home match against Angola and secured a draw in the away fixture in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Since then, Hughton has been in Ghana, working hard to assemble the best possible squad for the Black Stars’ next assignment. He watched the Great Olympics vs. Berekum Chelsea match to identify players who could potentially help the national team.
Hughton intends to continue scouting Ghanaian players in the Premier League over the next few weeks while also monitoring the performances of Ghanaian players abroad.
