Ghana Football Association Executive Council member George Amoako has conceded that his outfit failed to consult clubs before disbursing the FIFA/CAF Covid-19 relief fund.
The FA has received massive backlash from clubs with some football administrators accusing them of not fairing sharing the money to clubs in the country.
”You are serving your as an Exco, your Association members are not happy with some these things, you sit down with them, jaw jaw and try to come to the Center where all and sundry will agree and understand that this is what will augur well for us,” George Amoako told Oyerepa FM.
”We will evaluate our proposal and hopefully after meeting the clubs and other stakeholders, we will find a way out.
”I concede that we could have consulted before coming out with the allocation, that was the best option but you will bear with me that before we went into caucus to discuss this, the pressure was enormous so we couldn’t have kept another 3 days to start consultations, we had to come out.
‘He concluded by saying that: ‘We have seen and heard opinions being expressed here and there although some are vulgar,”
Meanwhile, Bankroller of Premier League side King Faisal, has rejected claims that premier league clubs have received $15,000 each from the FA.
According to him, he has suggested that each Premier League club at least gets $25,000 to $30,000 from the FIFA/CAF Covid-19 relief fund.
