Ghanaian international Michael Sarpong is overly excited after winning his maiden Azam Rwanda Premier League title with Rayon Sports FC.
The former Dreams FC striker was one of the standout strikers in the just ended Rwandan top-flight season with some incredible scoring statistics.
The 23-year old striker, played 23 matches,scoring 16 goals with 11 fantastic assists to help his team clinch their ninth league title in his debut season at the club.
”It feels so great and I’m very excited right now, it wasn’t an easy journey but through the hard-work and determination I’ve been able to go through. We thank God for this victory,” Sarpong told SportsworldGhana.com in an interview.
He added ”We’ve got a strong squad, I mean everyone out here was determined And angry for this trophy. We have great guys who do magic at any point in time,”
Sarpong’s contract with the club expires in 2020 but has already got couple of clubs both in Europe and Asia knocking his doors for a possible move in the summer transfer.
