The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) and Ghana Rugby Ladies team have donated assorted items to the Black Queens ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Qualifier.
The President of Ghana Olympic Olympic Committee, Mr Ben Nunoo Mensah together Mr. Herbert Mensah, president of Ghana Rugby Union who is also chairman of the GOC Media Committee with this team including Rafatu Inusah donated some soft drinks , Mosquito coil Yazz washing powder water and sanitary pads to the Black Queens of Ghana at their camp at Mariset Plaza Hotel in Osu to boost their preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Qualifiers.
The captain of Ghana Rugby Football Union, Rafatu Inusah said
“It was yesterday when our President, Mr Herbert Mensah informed me that his friend the GOC President Mr Ben Mensah told him that the Black Queens have been in camp for some weeks now and they are facing some challenges. So I said to myself oh! ! We are closer to them.
So I felt within me, so I told my boss, Mr. Herbert Mensah let us give some of our products our sponsors gave to support them. We also add some cash to them to use it and buy their need. Far as they are in the hotel, there are something they will like to buy.
The female Senior team of Ghana have been in camp for the past three weeks preparing for the qualifier against their counterparts from Kenya.
The first leg is scheduled to be played at Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, October 4 with the second leg In Kenya in a week time.
