Accra Hearts of Oak coach Kosta Papic is disappointed with his team’s performance in their defeat to Aduana Stars in the Ghana Premier League matchday one outstanding fixture which was cleared on Wednesday.
The Phobians suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Ogya Lads at the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park. Hearts created several chances but failed to score any of them including a penalty miss.
The Serbian trainer has expressed worried about his side’s uninspiring performance, stressing it will take some time for the team to get better in the league.
“We are not ready for this match (sic) obviously. I mean the players. Little bit better in the second half, but that is not enough. Missing so many chances, missing the penalty is not giving us the chance to win the match today,” Papic said in the post-match interview.
“Like I said before the match, it is going to be upside down, one match you win, one match you lose. Until we start to be stable.
“Time is not there but this will come,” he added.
Hearts of Oak haven’t won the Ghana Premier League for a decade now and hopes to end their trophy drought this campaign.
They currently sit on 10th position on the league log after five games in the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
