Asante Kotoko defeated Inter Allies by 3-2 during their Week 29 Ghana Premier League encounter at the Dawu Park but head coach of Porcupine Warrors believes relegation-bound Allies deserve to stay in the Ghanaian top-flight.
The Eleven is to One side equalized twice each time Kotoko took the lead but Andrews Appau’s 7oth minute header undid the home side.
“They deserve not to be relegated. I hope they do good and try to survive because they are fighters. They have a good team and I don’t want them to be relegated. They really made it hard for us” Barreto said after the game.
Inter Allies are rooted bottom to the Ghana Premier League table with 26 points amassed from possible 87.
Meanwhile Kotoko are back on same number of points as rivals Hearts of Oak – 53 points each but the Phobians are ahead on better goal difference.
