Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s latest signing, Richmond Lamptey has revealed that signing for the club is a dream come true for him.
Lamptey was confirmed as a Porcupine on Monday after putting pen to paper on a three-year deal with the club, joining from Inter Allies.
The 24-year-old says he has known the club since his childhood having played for Young Kotoko in the initial stages of his footballing career before moving to WAFA.
“It feels god to know that the club of your dreams has signed you up,” Lamptey said in his first interview as a Kotoko player.
“Kotoko is a team I have admired growing up, and my mum also supports the club so it is a team I hold in high esteem. You play with a lot passion and give your all, when you are playing for the team of your choice. I’m really happy Kotoko has signed me,” he added.
The highly-rated midfielder is expected to help restore the Kumasi-based club to its rightful place after failing to clinch a trophy last season.
