Ghana’s Joseph Paintsil scored for the second game running for MKE Ankaragucu in the Turkish Super Lig on Tuesday afternoon.
The former Tema Youth player netted his team’s second goal in their 2-0 home win over Hatayspor to move from bottom of the Turkish Super Lig after their second win of the season.
After a goalless first 45 minutes, the hosts took the lead after 69 minutes through Zvonimir Sarlija’s beautiful finish to make it 1-0 to the Blue and Yellows.
One minute left to full time, Paintsil scored his fourth league goal of the season when his right footed shot from the center of the box found the back of the net to make it 2-0 to the hosts who recorded a back to back in the Turkish top-flight to move out of the relegation zone.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward was substituted deep into additional time as his side defended their two goals advantage to win just their second game in eleven matches.
Paintsil was a 59th minute substitute in the game but has featured in eight games this season for the Blue and Yellows with four goals to his credit.
