Kotoko finally agrees to play president cup with Hearts in Kumasi

Despite the contrary view of Asante Kotoko head Steve Pollack not to honour any friendly game the management of the club led by Dr Kwame Kyei have consented to play the game made in honour of the president of Ghana.

Asante Kotoko had previously different ideas committing to the game but after several meetings with the club executive BoD Dr Kwame Kyei, the club have communicated to the organizers of the game GHALCA their commitment to honour the fixture.

The presidential cup is annual cup game in the Ghanaian football calender which is played every year on the republic day to honour the sitting president.

This year’ s edition will be played on the 2nd July 2017 at the Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.
