The president of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Okraku has started the process to create a special Sports Policing Unit by engaging the Police administration of the country in a move to fulfill one of his key manifesto promises in the build up to the Ghana FA presidential elections late last year.
The current boss of the governing body of football in Ghana won the elections convincingly and has now began the process to walk the talk in his quest to curb hooliganism at the stadia.
“We will continue to work closely with the Ghana Police Service to protect not only our game but also lives and property” the Ghana FA boss wrote on his favorite social media page of Facebook.
