Swiss-based Ghanaian forward, Kwadwo Duah grabbed his second assist of the season for FC St Gallen in Switzerland against FC Lausanne.
The 24-year-old former FC Wil 1900 hitman played the entire duration of the match but could not score but provided an assist in his team’s defeat away from home on Saturday evening.
The home team took a two-goal lead within sixteen minutes of the match before Basil Stillhart reduced the deficit to one for the Green and Whites but Toichi Suzuki restored the home team’s two goals lead before the interval.
Five minutes after the break, Duah provided a deft touch to set up Nigerian striker Chukwubuike Adamu to make it 3-2 with just one goal deficit with over 40 minutes left to play in the end-to-end and mouth-watering encounter.
Ten minutes later, Victor Ruiz restored parity for FC St Gallen when he converted a 65th-minute penalty to make it 3-3.
With 17 minutes left to go, Suzuki scored his second goal of the match and his team’s fourth on the day to grab all three points for the determined home team who deservedly beat their opponents 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller.
The 24-year-old former FC Young Boys graduate has scored eight goals and provided two assists in his first season at FC St Gallen.
