Ghana central defender John Boye has been named as captain for FC Metz in their season opener against AS Monaco on Sunday afternoon.
The former Heart of Lions defender was handed the captain’s armband towards the end of last season before the Ligue 1 was cancelled as main skipper of the side Habib Diallo served a suspension.
Diallo is available for selection in today’s game but he starts from bench meaning the Black Stars defender continues as captain of the side.
