The Continental Club Masters recorded a heavy 6-1 win over league leaders Bechem United on Saturday and it was all thanks to the change Kosta Papic has brought to the club.
Hearts of Oak had not won consecutive competitive games for the past one year but that ahs changed under the Serbian trainer following back to back wins over King Faisal and Bechem United.
Nurudeen Abdul Aziz has been installed as the central defensive midfielder that sits in front of the back four whilst Niger international Lawali Mamane has been pushed into the creative number 10 role and so far after the last two games, the change has yielded positive results.
Five different players scored the six goals against Bechem United. Manaf Umar, Victor Aidoo who scored a brace, Frederick Ansa Botchway from the spot, Lawali Mamane and Benjamin Afutu.
In their win over Faisal in Techiman , the goals came from Umar and Afutu as Hearts of Oak begin to find regular goalscorers.
