Medeama star top midfielder Richard Boadu has dedicated his sumptuous strike against Asante to his ‘supportive’ mother- Mrs. Adwoa Dorcas.
Boadu scored his first Ghana Premier League goal for Medeama in their 2-1 win over Asante Kotoko on Saturday at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.
”The goal I scored yesterday was my first league goal at Medeama and it was against a big team like Kotoko so the feeling was very huge,” Boadu told GYE NYAME 94.5MHZ.
”I dedicate the goal to my mother, Mrs Adwoa Dorcas.
”I become very emotional talking about my mother anytime I’m asked a question about her.She has really helped me a lot, a single mother raising six children with the little she gets from selling of food hasn’t been easy. Her prayers and support has been massive.
”During my first Division days, she was the one buying me boots and still feeding me. She is my legend,” the midfield jewel concluded.
The Kumasi-born midfielder has combined incredibly with injured Justice Blay and now Eric Kwakwa and Rashid Nortey in Medeama’s midfield on the pitch.
