Newly signed Hearts of Oak midfielder Malik Akowuah has revealed he signed for the Accra based football club because he wants to taste Champions league football.
The former Medeama player believes Hearts of Oak are more likely to win the Ghana Premier League in the coming seasons thus qualify for the CAF Champions League which will earn him the opportunity to showcase his capabilities on the African stage.
Malik speaking to press men concerning his decision to have opted for Hearts disclosed, the major factor which informed his decision to sign for the Phobians is to play in the CAF champions league.
“I believe that Hearts can win the league for me to taste champions league football. That is part, it is the reason why I signed for Hearts of Oak” Said Malik.
Akowuah also took the opportunity to expressed gratitude to the supporters of the club for their great hospitality since he came under the Oak tree.
