Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey was in action for Arsenal as they drew 2-2 against Scottish Premier League powerhouse Rangers in their second pre-season friendly on Saturday.
It was Ghanaian striker Eddie Nketiah who climbed off the bench to salvage the Gunners from suffering their second pre-season defeat.
Thomas Partey was handed a started role by manager Arteta in the game but could not help this side to record victory in the game, leaving them winless in their first two pre-season friendly matches.
Balogun scored in the 14th-minute mark to put Steven Gerrard’s side ahead in the game.
However, the Gunners new signing Nunu Tavares who was making his first appearance for the club restored parity in the 23rd minute after piling pressure on the hosts, ending the first half one apiece.
Back from break Rangers looked very purposeful and started tormenting Arsenal for another lead. Their incessant pressure finally paid of when Itten scored after 75 minutes on the clock to pick a 2-1 lead at Ibrox.
With the game almost ending 2-1 in favour of the Scottish giants, substitute Eddie Nketiah struck seven minutes from full time to draw the game for Arsenal who were beaten 2-1 by Hibernian earlier this week.
Nketiah was introduced into the game in the 62nd minute to replace Aubameyang who failed to hit the back of the net.
