West African Football Academy (WAFA) SC youngster, Augustine Boakye feels honoured to be named among seven players for the 2020-21 Ghana Home-based footballer of the year award.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian prodigy has been shortlisted by the Ghana Football Awards organizers following a breakthrough season for the Academy Boys this campaign.
Boakye was named in coach CK Akonnor’s 30-man squad for the AFCON qualifiers games against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe in two months ago.
The young man has been a revelation this season in the Ghana top-flight league with eye-catching and mouth-watering displays for his team.
Boakye has scored seven goals and set up 11 goals in the ongoing 2020-21 Ghana Premier League after playing 25 times this season for the Sogakope lads.

The Ghanaian playmaker has also won the Man-Of-The-Match awards for six times in the Ghana Premier League.
