Great Olympics striker Maxwell Abbey Quaye has revealed that the Olympics players and technical team decided to bounce back immediately in their next game Accra Lions following their draw at Real Tamale United (RTU).
The Wonder club took the lead against RTU but the hosts equalized from the spot and on the road back to Accra Annor Walker and his team were already planning ahead of their next game that saw Abbey Quaye scored a super hat trick.
“Everyone was down following the game at RTU. We thought we had won the game until they equalized from the spot.” Abbey Quaye told Fox FM on Monday.
“In the bus coming back to Accra from Tamale we knew that we needed to win against Accra Lions and for me in particular I started from the bench in the RTU game and so the Lions match was a challenge to me.” he added.
The intelligent striker is one of the most important players of Olympics from last season.
