Kumasi-based King Faisal FC players have rescinded their decision not to attend training ahead of their big clash against City rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC says their captain, Kwame Peprah.
It was earlier reported that players of the relegation-threatened side King Faisal FC met and decided not to train due to unpaid salaries and bonuses.
However, Kwame Peprah, the captain of the side in an interview with Kumasi 104.1 FM has denied this report stating emphatically that the team will be training.
” Yes, we met us players and decided not to train but after other consultations and intervention from the club President, Alhaji Grusah, we have changed our earlier decision to train.”
“We are currently at the training grounds, getting ready for Saturday’s game against Asante Kotoko which we hope and pray for a good result.” He ended.
King Faisal are battling with relegation from the top-flight and has a crucial game against title hopefuls Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Saturday afternoon.
