It’s exciting times for Asante Kotoko SC fans across the globe right now, this week we have really seen a lot of transfer rumours heat up to the point of announcements being close.
We could hear confirmation on a number of potential new signings at any point now, and one is set to undergo his Kotoko medical tomorrow (Sunday).
Myfabulousonline.com reports that, the former Ashantigold defender, Yusif Mubarik will undergo a mandatory medical including COVID-19 test with Emmanuel Keyekeh and the rest of the Asante Kotoko players on Sunday, September 26, 2020, before their official announcement next week.
Mubarik, 23, joined the Porcupine family after agreeing on a three-year deal with the Kumasi-based club having failed to renew his contract with Ashantigold.
Standing at 6’1, his experience and quality on the local scene will be absolutely vital for Maxwell Konadu who is trying to augment his defence ahead of next football season which will commence in November.
The towering centre back joined the Ashantigold from Liberty Professionals in 2017 after an explosive performance in the Ghana Premier League.
He established himself as the Miners regular in the 2018 NC Special competition and played an instrumental role in their last campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Mubarik featured 14 times for AshantiGold SC in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season which was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic and netted twice for the Miners.
