Ghana’s senior national team- Black Stars gaffer Charles Kwablan Akonnor has been cautioned against complacency ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations [Afcon] in Cameroon.

The Black Stars picked their ticket for next year’s tourney after emerging as Group C winners with 13 points.

Ghana completed their qualification campaign in a style with a 3-1 win over Sao Tome.

Ahead of the tournament, former Ghana goalkeeper, Abubakari Damba beleives every country that has qualified is capable of winning the ultimate.

“Every single country is a potential winner [of the 2021 AFCON].

“Every single country will have to take their own destiny into their own hands.

“Every single country tentatively can win the tournament and I choose my words carefully, can win the [2021 AFCON].

“But as to whether you have the capabilities and the abilities to do so is another ball game altogether.” Damba told Adamu Muftawu in an interview.

Ghana has not won the Afcon since 1982.
