FC Inter Turku midfielder Anthony Annan is eyeing a return to the Black Stars following a long absence from the national team since the 2010 World Cup.
The former HJK Helsinki star has been absent from the Black Stars team since he featured for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and is hoping to reclaim a spot in Charles Kwabla Akonnor’s team.
The the 33-year old midfield jewel, has stated his willingness to launch a come back to the Black Stars if Coach CK Akonnor finds him suitable enough.
Speaking to Akoma 87.9 FM in Kumasi, Annan stated “I am available for selection if he needs me,”
‘’I am still playing active football in Finland”. Ghana is my country and I cannot turn my back to my nation if my services is needed.
“I don’t know much about C. K. Akonnor but I know he was selected based on his competence and I believe with our support, he can surely deliver,” Annan added.
