The Ghana League Clubs Association has congratulated the Black Stars after securing qualification to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations tournament to be staged in Cameroon.
Akonoor’s side held the Bafana Bafana of South Africa to a 1-1 draw at the FNB Stadium on Thursday in Johannesburg to seal the qualification.
Ajax star Mohammed Kudus put the Black Stars ahead in the 49th minute before Percy Tau later drew the hosts level after 52 minutes of action.
And Ghanaian football club’s welfare body, GHALCA, has congratulated the national team, urging them to finish the job against Sao Tome in a grand style.

Ghana per the head-to-head rule have qualified for the AFCON with a game to spare.

The Ghanaian contingent departed Johannesburg immediately after the game and landed at the Kotoko International Airport in the early hours of Friday to prepare for the final fixture of the qualifiers against Sao Tome at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
