Ghana’s midfielder, Rahman Chibsah and his team VFL Bochum secured promotion to the top-flight of German football on Sunday afternoon with victory over SV Sandhausen.
The Ghanaian featured in ten matches this season for the Blue and Whites after joining them last summer as free agent after leaving Turkish Super Lig Gaziantep.
VFL Bochum won the Bundesliga 2 campaign with 67 points from 34 games to seal their spot in the 2021-22 Bundesliga season which starts in a couple of months time.
Bochum won their final game of the 2020-21 Bundesliga 2 campaign with a comfortable 3-1 win to stay top of the league to confirm their Bundesliga status for next season.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian midfielder scored a goal in his 10 matches in the German Second Tier this season to help his side secure promotion into the Bundesliga.
