Ghana and BK Hacken winger Mohammed Nasiru, has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
Nasiru, 27, was forced off the pitch in the game against Djurgadens in the Swedish Allsvenskan on August 1, 2021.
The talented forward was making his third appearance since returning to the club in the summer transfer window.
“Of course we suffer with “Nas” and hope that he will return to the football field as soon as possible. He joined the squad in a good way and it is sad both for us and himself that he will now not be able to compete for a place during the autumn season,” said the club’s Sports Director, Martin Ericsson to their official website.
“We lose a player, but at the same time we feel that we have good coverage in the midfield and that the competitive situation there looks good,” he added.
Meanwhile, the winger is disappointed his season has come to a premature end.
“Of course it feels boring but I have to keep my spirits up and look ahead now. I will do what it takes to get back to the football field as soon as possible. That is the only way,” said Nasiru.
The player who has capped once for the Black Stars, rejoined the Swedish club after an embarrassing spell with Bulgarian giants Levski Sofia.
