Scottish powerhouse Celtic FC have expressed interest in signing Ghana international defender Benson Anang, SportsworldGhana.com understands.
Anang, 21, made his Ghana debut in a 5-1 win over Qatar last October and has since received 2 calls from Ghana coach Charles Akonnor.
The right-back, who is on the books of Slovakian side MSK Zilina, has been impressive for the Fortuna Liga club in their maiden campaign in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
The former New Life FC defender has completed 270 minutes in 3 games for Zilina and his show for the Žlto-Zelení has attracted interest from Celtic who want to re-establish their domestic dominance after losing out on the title challenge to Rangers last term.
Celtic lost Dutch-Ghanaian right-back Jeremie Frimpong to Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen last season and want to bring in the Ghanaian to fill the void created by Frimpong’s absence.
