Ghana football law expert Kwame Ntow Fianko has been quick to reject the Congress date of September 1 set by the Ghana Football Association Executive Council arguing that members will be nervous at the meeting on the same day that Court of Arbitration for Sport is expected to announce verdict of the huge case involving Wilfred Osei Kwaku and the GFA.
“Can’t we get any other date apart from 1st September for the congress?” Ntow Fianko quizzed on Happy FM.
“That date is a serious day because that is the day will know the fate of Ghana football. This was not the initial date communicated to clubs. What has changed for the Ghana FA to decide to have the congress on 1st September? The same date that is set for the CAS decision” he fumed.
“The Ghana FA want people to be anxious and nervous at congress on that day ? They must come again. It is a wrong date in every aspect of our football.
This won’t benefit anyone so the Ghana FA must change the date. Clubs must stand up and request for a new day. We must say no to 1st September for congress” the former Division One League Board Chairman lawyer Kwame Ntow Fianko concluded.
