Ghanaian forward, Prince Osei Owusu netted an equalizer against German giants Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday evening in the German DFB Pokal.
The young striker’s goal was his first in the competition this season for the Bundesliga 2 team since he joined last summer after leaving Arminia Bielefeld.
Emre Can and Jafon Sancho scored within the space of ten minutes to put the Black and Yellows in a commanding lead after 16 minutes of the match to put the hosts 2-0 before the end of the first 45 minutes.
Eleven minutes to full time, Julian Justvan reduced the deficit to one for the lower tier side to make it 2-1 on the 79th minute to set up a grand style finish to the end-to-end game.
Seven minutes into additional time, Mat Hummels committed a foul in the box which resulted into a spot-kick which was nicely dispatched by the Ghanaian to make it 2-2 and take the game to extra 30 minutes.
During the extra time period, Norway starman, Erling Haaland snatched the winner for the Champions League side to progress to the next stage of the German Cup competition.
