Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC captain, Ismail Abdul Ganiyu has earned a spot in the Ghana squad for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa respectively.
The Porcupine Warrior was absent when coach Milovan Rajevac took charge of the Ghana team for the first time in his second spell in victories over Zimbabwe.
Ganiyu was part of the CK Akonnor team’s during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe and South Africa.
He played full throttle when Ghana drew 1-1 at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg as they secured qualification for the AFC on which would be held in Cameroon next year.
After missing out on Zimbabwe games the last time, the Serbian gaffer has given the Kotoko captain to justify his inclusion in the Ghana team when they face Ethiopia on November 11 and South Africa on 14th November.
