Ghanaian attacker Joseph Esso was named Man of the Match after an impressive display in MC Alger’s victory over ES Setif on Monday.
The former Dreams FC star grabbed the match-winner for MC Alger as they posted a superb comeback win over league leaders ES Setif at the Stade 5 Juillet 1962.
Mohamed Amoura scored on the 17th and 27th minutes to give ES Setif a 2-0 in the first half before Nabil Lamara reduced pulled one back for MC Alger on the 38th minute of the game.
Abderrahmane Hachoud, however, after the break, restored parity for the home side with a fine strike on the 68th minute.
The Ghanaian internation who lasted the full duration of the Match, registered the Match winner MC Alger after 87 minutes on the clock.
The former Accra Hearts of Oak attacker joined the Algerian Ligue 1 club from Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC in May.
Esso will be hoping to continue his impressive form when Alger travel to the Zubair Khalifi Stadium on Thursday evening to face Amal Ain Melilla.
