A new breeze of golfing competition is set to hit the Nsuta Golf Club in the Western Region on Saturday, January 6, 2018. The competition dubbed ‘Captain1 Golf Society Invitational Tournament’ would have its debut tee-off with over 50 professional and amateur golfers across the country participating. Professionals Golfers in the country will be busy from November 29 to December 2,2017 at the Damang Golf Course when the fourth edition Professional Golfers Association of Ghana (PGA Ghana) Championship tees off. The Sports Ministry has written to the IAAF, requesting further explanation on some details within the Ghana Athletics Association’s report over the usage of the $84,900 budget for the London 2017 World Athletics Championship. The Ghana Athletics Association earlier informed the Sports Ministry that the amount would be used to cater for travel, accommodation, feeding and perdiem of the nation’s 9 athletes. Ghana’s swimming team on Sunday came second with 12 gold, nine silver and six bronze medals making a total of 27medals to place second behind host Nigeria at the 2nd Africa Zone 2 Junior Swimming Championship.
