Asante Kotoko owner, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has appointed a capable four-man Interim Management Committee (IMC) to oversee the club’s affairs.
According to Opemsuo Radio, the IMC consists of Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, who brings his expertise as a chartered accountant and serves as the Kontomponiaferehene.
Joining the committee are former Black Stars coach, James Kwesi Appiah, and Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, who has been newly appointed as the Kotoko head coach. Completing the team is Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, taking on the role of administrative manager.
The IMC will be responsible for managing Asante Kotoko until the club’s administration is restructured.
This decision follows the recent dissolution of the Asante Kotoko board and management members by Otumfuo when their three-year mandate came to an end earlier this month.
The newly appointed committee has been entrusted with ensuring the club fulfills all statutory obligations for the Ghana Premier League and prepares a strong team for the upcoming season.
Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has returned as the head coach of Asante Kotoko after an absence of eleven months. He first joined the club ahead of the 2021/22 league season, guiding them to victory in the league before parting ways with the club due to disagreements with the previous management team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah.
